WHMIS Training (GHS 2015). In Vancouver BC and Washington State all employers are required by law (WorkSafeBC Regulations, OSHA Regulations and the OSH Act) to provide Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System 2015 (WHMIS 2015) training and instruction to all employees who are in contact with or in close proximity to any materials hazardous. Hazardous materials may cause serious health problems in workers or fires or explosions in the workplace. WHMIS 2015 provides information on hazardous products, as defined and described in the federal Hazardous Products Act and Hazardous Products Regulations, so workers can protect themselves. While WHMIS was updated in 2015, responsibilities for employers, workers, and others remain unchanged. This course will cover all information on how to recognize WHMIS 2015 symbols (pictograms), read supplier labels and workplace labels, how to read safety data sheets (SDS’s), and worker training/education programs. This course also offers an in-depth look at Provincial and Federal State regulations for WHMIS 2015 (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System). Participants will learn the mandatory requirements that all employers, employees, and anyone associated with WHMIS 2015 must know. Upon successful completion of classroom training and a written theory exam, all participants will be certified to work safely with hazardous materials in the workplace.
CLASSROOM - LIVE INSTRUCTOR LED (ZOOM 9:00 am to 12:00 pm)
The classroom WHMIS 2015 training course is a half day course (9:00 am to 12:00 pm pacific - all 3 hours of required training material is covered in this time frame) and is taught LIVE by our instructor via zoom (virtual training). Questioning and answering period during this course is possible as it is a LIVE course with an actual instructor. The day will include 1 x 15 min break. Each participant will either require access to their own PC or if you have multiple participants you can situate them in a room and project us from a audio/visual set up. After the course is complete all participants will be emailed their certificates.
ONLINE - VIDEO COURSE (NO INSTRUCTOR)
The online WHMIS 2015 training course is a online video course and does not include a live instructor. Students will watch the 1.5 hour video training material on their own time. There is NO TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE OUR ONLINE COURSE and is SELF PACED. This course consists of videos and a final exam must be written. Certification can be downloaded and printed after course completion.
